I need some real time feedback on what's going on at SR. Is it raining? The weather reports are all over the place about Mon and Tue. I'm going either there or the Loaf. Monday's probably a no-go on the Loaf due to wind, but maybe SR on Mon and Loaf on Tue.

Backup is Jay but could get screwed there on wind and visibility. The weather reports are making the decision tough.

Why go to Sunday River when you can go to the Loaf?? Wildcat would also be a good bet.

we were at the river today...left around 1. It was raining at the base, but up about 1/4 way on the lift..it was all snow. They are calling for up to 2ft. However..I did notive that for tomorrow, they aren't planning on opening most of the mountain (no white cap, no jordon/oz/aurora). Based on what people said to me today about the loaf...I would head there...should be all snow there. not sure how wilcat is w/ wind...but perhaps that monday and loaf tues? Have fun!

We are hopefully for skiing with the long side of Double Runner and the Bateau T-bar.

If not we can wait it out as Warren has vacation this week.

Sunday River is an option, but the drive is long and they may not stay all snow.

Yesterday it was 50F when we left Bethel and 35F when we got to Rangeley, so it is much colder up here and there is twice as much natural snowcover.

It's 11pm on Sunday and I just got back from Sunday River. It started snowing at about 11 am and by the time I left the mountain at 430, it was still coming down -- thick and fast. I had lunch/dinner at Sunday River Brewing, left there at 530, and the snow was still coming down. On the lower part of the mountain, it's a rain/snow mix but as you get higher up, it's all snow. Wet, heavy snow but still snow. Looks like we can ski Sunday River well into May. It looked more like February out there than April!
