Hello Everyone,
My name is Jackson, and I work for a new company called Instant Media (or, IM). Based on what I have read in previous posts within this forum, I thought that some of you would be interested in what we have to offer. Our product is an all-in-one media player, podcast client, and media download application. We are partnering with Teton Gravity Research and have published 13 of their full length films online available free for download.
Why are we giving these films out for free? And, why is TGR letting us? In part, it is a promotional exercise to raise user awareness for our software. Additionally, this raises awareness for TGR and hopefully some users will use these videos as a “tryout” and buy the actual DVDs later. Our client software will also let you easily download other podcasts and video casts from other sources.
If you are interested in TGR films and the IM player, visit http://www.im.com/ and download the player. We have added 1000+ users over the last few weeks, and have received mostly positive feedback - no spyware complaints. Our software is currently in the Beta phase of development, so any feedback that you would like to submit on how we could improve it would be very helpful.
I hope you all enjoy the videos! I will do my best to answer any questions you might have.
