The evil clear slippery stuff has reared it r-iny head up here. Streets are turning into bullet proof passageways. Who knows how much damage it will do... With cold to follow it could prove very slippery indeed. Maybe the big S will bring us some white presents tomorrow morning. Stay safe and buckle up.

Thanks for the warning!

Thanks for the heads up! Yuck, not what we needed. Here in northen Ma I am getting the same non-crystaline-percipitation and we also have a thick layer of fog. It will be dangerous driving if the temp dips towards nightfall.

Careful driving everyone! Wear your helmets and shout "track right!" when you pass! Play nice in the lines at the local CVS and don't stab anyone with your poles if they try to cut in line. (They can't help it, some were born that way, they are incapable of decency, feel sorry for them.) Make sure you give a nice tip to the ski caddys (where they have them), they aren't making much to sit and watch and fetch your skis. Always learn the names of your lift attendants and tip them too, (Not "plant your corn in the spring" either.) especially the college kids and ski bums. Waitresses get 20% or more! Ski your buns off!

Hug your loved ones and enjoy the excitement of the children. Be a child yourself and have some wonderful times.

Say a prayer for those less fortunate and especially for our young ones serving overseas in those desolate places like Iraq, Afganistan, Europe and Asia.

Love the ones you're with. (SS - '70)

I'd like to take this opportunity to give my welcome to oldhippie. You're a lot of fun and I'm glad you're here!

Just got 4 new BF Goodrich tires installed so hopefully I can make it up to MRG's parking lot next year. :)

A guy at my work sent this and I thought it was funny.

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all...and a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2004, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only "America" in the Western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, or sexual orientation of the wishee.

This wish is limited to the customary and usual good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first. "Holiday" is not intended to, nor shall it be considered, limited to the usual Judeo-Christian celebrations or observances, or to such activities of any organized or ad hoc religious community, group, individual or belief (or lack thereof).

Note: By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher at any time, for any reason or for no reason at all. This greeting is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. This greeting implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for the wishee her/himself or others, or responsibility for the consequences which may arise from the implementation or non-implementation of same. This greeting is void where prohibited by law.

While I'm waiting for the kids and grandson to arrive I'll just say Merry Christmas to everyone. And also welcome to Old Hippie...sounds like he and I are from the same generation. I will apologize for riding a Honda Goldwing instead of a Harley though! :D And I'm also wondering if he's another refugee from the old Mt. Watatic ski area? I used to get a season pass there on a regular basis back in the late 60's & early 70's.

Hi Max!!

Hi Max!! Thank you very much for the welcome!! Merry Christmas to you.

We are absolutely part of the same generation.. I skied quite a bit a Watatic, on the old T-bars up there too. I still live in Ashby, so I miss Watatic.

No need to apologize to me for the GoldWing. I think they are the Cadilacs of motorcycles and I have a Honda Valkyrie. (go to my Website and click on the pic). Valkyries as you know, are the little borthers to GoldWings. I have 48K on mine in 3 seasons.

I grew up in Fitchburg and graduated from Fitchburg High in '68? ..LOL! I know a lot of the folks out here can't relate to that, but I'm sure their parents can.

Max, my ex-wife was the daughtger of the manager of Benjamin Hill. I taught skiing there in those days, but I enjoyed Watatic too.

Us central Ma folks ought to get together sometime at WaWa or even take a ride to VT and do some skiing together! That would be fun!
