HIGHMOUNT. New York — Get those "better than everyday duds" on your back Monday January 24 and beat a path to the Belleayre Region Lodging and Tourism Association's fabulous "Taste of the Town", back by very popular demand. It takes place this year at 6:30 p.m. in the Discovery Lodge Tickets are $35 per person or $60 a couple, $20 for children 12-and-under. Each ticket provides a chance to win one of dozens of prizes that include dinners, overnight stays and much more. A limited number of tickets will be sold so pre-purchase of tickets and reservations are necessary.
Tables in the lower lodge will be decked out in their best white linen and most beautiful flowers and will provide the perfect setting for a feast that includes sumptuous "tastings" from menus of eighteen of the region's finest eating establishments, showcasing their best. This is your chance to sample such diverse delicacies from Japanese, French, Italian, Cajun and a myriad of other cuisines. Whether the food is caviar or sausage, is diced, rolled, stewed, grilled, sauteed, fried, roasted, broiled, boiled or raw, it will be delicious.
