Much bigger and I'd have trouble fitting one on my helmet.

<insert obligatory razz comment here>

I golfed with my brother in law on father's day and he was being so arrogant about his shots, at one point I asked him if the fairway was wide enough for his ego

I played with Gimp several years ago, I remember not being overly impressed. I think it was because I didn't know what I was doing. I was probably trying to achieve some menial task, for which Gimp was overkill, though. I've been meaning to give it another look.
Yea, it isn't the best if you just want to crop or resize. It is hard to find stuff if you don't know where to look. For pictures, crop > level > sharpen > resize > save. I don't really use much else yet but there are a lot of touch up features and of course layers helps isolate certain fixes. Just learning how to use levels and curves significantly increased my post processing results.

one of my favorite pictures I took 2 years ago. I love every so often just using a tripod and doing some longer exposures.

ISO 400
Exposure 16.0 sec
Aperture 9.0
Focal Length 24mm

Another one I took of a boat going by from a dock, the long light is the port / starboard lights on the boat. I thought it was cool you can see the lights but not the boat itself.

Exposure 10.0 sec
Aperture 10.0
Focal Length 55mm

Nice shots! I like the colors.

I haven't done too much with long exposures...

Here's a self portrait timer/longish exposure shot from a solo night MTB ride last year.

Camera Canon EOS 20D
Exposure 2
Aperture f/8.0
Focal Length 50 mm
ISO Speed 100

This is from earlier in the same ride, 30 second exposure resting the camera on a bridge railing.

This one was from just screwing around with long exposures and a light source, it came out kind of cool I guess

Nice, I want to make a post about night riding now. I always wanted to get into it more. I use to have a Niterider light but I think the ones today with LED's are probably a lot better.

There's a few threads about lights in the cycling forum. It's a blast, and yes the LED lights are pretty kick ass. The top light is a LED light on my helmet and the bottom is a NightRider halogen light on my bars.

I haven't been taking too many photos lately, but I brought my camera with me to Arizona for a business trip last week. Unfortunately I suck at taking pictures, so most of them didn't come out very well. I always forget to check out what the ISO setting is, so I took most of them at ISO1600 by accident.

Here's one that I'm relatively happy with:
