I doubt it will be as crazy as a normal holiday week, as so far this season it's been pretty obvious everyone's canceled their vacations due to lack of snow. Friday was absolutely empty for a holiday weekend, and anyway it tends to settle down after PDW Monday anyway. Thursday will be the day this week, gonna' have to take a 1/2 day.

I got called off for today...Hopefully for the next few days as driving to pc from draper in a storm is pretty sporty..
Although I think lcc will be nuts. It was nuts on the Monday when we got only 8 inches.

Now that there's better data sampling from the energy hitting the land this storm cycle's looking more impressive than modeled.
Maybe 2.5 feet for Park City! I think that should get everything open if it happens.

Might be the heaviest snowfall and wind Wednesday, but who knows what's going to happen with avalanche work. It wouldn't shock me at all if it could be a few days post storm that certain aspects open up because it's probably going to be absolutely terrible avalanche risk.
Depends on elevation though. At 8,000 feet and above coverage is pretty good coverage, gets worse the lower you get, but luckily there's plenty at PC >= 8,000 feet. Saddleback/9990 or Jupiter/McConkeys are plenty enough for me that anything 10" or more from this will be outstanding. What I'm really hoping is we get 30" and they can finally open Super Condor.
The snowpack is really unstable already so Im sure theres going to be so many slides from all the idiots going where they shouldnt. Once 9990 gets open it wouldn’t surprise me if someone starts one in Dutch’s ducking the rope

The avalanche alert is for basically everywhere. LOL
Wouldn't shock me at all if we have to wait a bit to ski this storm. Friday and Saturday should be great.

Snowing at the condo, but man this storm looks super windy at 8000 ft in Colorado
Super windy in LCC and BCC yesterday. A rare set of wind closures at Snowbird reduced the options to basically Baby Thunder, Chicakadee, and Peruvian. Alta, surprisingly, was completely open. My rides on Sugarloaf were interesting.
Brighton last night was very windy as well. Majestic went down at about 7pm. Another odd closure. Top of Milly was a sheet of ice punctuated with small rocks. Perhaps for traction?
Other areas had some nice drifted snow.
Looks like it is just starting to ramp up now. Alta is reporting 7" overnight; Brighton only 2" (I am skeptical of that number); Snowbird 4". With the southwest flow I expect Alta/Brighton to be the big winners.

Yeah, the wind last night was insane. It actually blew the latch on our sprinkler cover open, which would normally require a finger. We got 2.25 inches overnight, nice to see everything covered in snow again.

snowbird had nearly all lifts open for a sunny warm afternoon. A really great afternoon after a shitshow morning and 1/2 the people left and went home or to Alta.
today was freakin great. Waited on one line all day for the tram in the am. Viz was come and go up high. snow kicked in high gear in the afternoon.

Yup...... This is why I think this storm might close a lot of terrain for a few days.
