Pick a mountain and tell us why a certain part of it is a unique experience because excessive good stuff like the terrain, better snow, low traffic, etc. or excessive bad stuff like crazy posers flying down, lots of yard sales, too crowded, bad conditions, etc.

At Whiteface it’s easy to pick.

Good: When the Slides are open everybody is smiling ear to ear, party atmosphere, best slack country in the northeast.

Upper Cloudspin – Snowfields section – snow blows in and accumulates there.

Bad: Excelisor Trail – turn 3 – on the weekend a lot of green skiers on the only blue trail from the Summit of little WF. When they get jammed up there it isn’t pretty.

take the foreunner up skin across the ridge drop down from the chin to tafts. then drop in to the woods down to the notch. last year was the first time i skined from the quad to the chin it was way easier than hiking up from the gondi.

Smuggs:
Good----Birthday Bowls, Freefall Woods and Liftline---Partying at Sterling pond

Bad---When it's sub zero those lifts seem to turn even slower----really could use some new lifts

Good - Westway and Clairs.. Nice and steep.. unique terrain..

Bad - Hellgate and Belt Parkway. Where everyone goes that can't handle the above.. So it gets ugly..

Good - Snowfields, Double bitter, winters way, bubble cuffer, among others, AND SPRING!

Bad - what they did to Widowmaker. It used to live up to its name. Lift layout.

I was going to pick Hunter west but DMC beat me to it so...
Belleayre Cathedral brook. No one goes in there and it's the one run that makes you feel like you're in the OB, and you kind of are.

I'll work on Cannon.

Good:having a whole semi-slacking backcountry closed ski area right next door.
Bad:having a whole semi-slacking backcountry closed ski area right next door that any joey can access with a short hike.
The extreme freeze/thaw weather swings.

Good: South Ridge. Nice natural trails, never anyone there, even when the lift's running. A bunch of other natural trails scattered around the mountain that the crowds always seem to overlook.
Bad: I think everyone knows it by now, but Great Northern and most of the wide trails on Skye Peak. Overcrowding combined with dangerous intersections.
