Yeah, that happens at Wachusett all the time.

This is a terrible tragedy and my thoughts and prayers go out to these patroller's families and the other members of the Mammoth Mountain Patrol.

Really sad, just shows how much risk ski patrollers (especialy out west) accept, to make skiing as safe as possible for the rest of us.

Memorial Fund for 3 Patrollers

Three individual memorial funds have been established at Union Bank of Mammoth Lakes in each persons name; The Walter Rosenthal Fund, The Scott McAndrews Fund, and The James Juarez Fund.

Very sad, reminiscent of the three patrollers who lost their lives at Aspen Highlands years back trying to reduce avalanche danger in the Imperial Bowl area.
