From the newspaper article lifted from Blue's website:

"We're already getting calls, (asking) when are you opening," Lutz said. This first snow of the season signals that winter is right around the corner, and Blue Mountain is slated to start making snow in the next 30 to 35 days."

Article dated 20-Oct so
30 days = 19-Nov and 35 days = 24-Nov.

Guesing if 35 days then I will be skiing somewhere in the catskills. But if 19-Nov, is skiing there black-Friday possible?

TIA

If we're lucky, we may get some tennis ball size death cookie wrod down Main Street in November. Hopefully we're going to get some sustained cold temps real soon.

What's the deal with the patrols there? Are they really anal about stuff? I see she has a wistle on her jacket. Something tells me that's not in case she gets burried in an avalanch.....

Yeah, this is a much better idea. Chance of Blue opening before Thanksgiving is zero. Hunter is likely the place I'll make first turns.
I'm still hoping that we'll see November skiing again. If not, maybe make a trip up to Bellayre on black Friday.
