Trade Deadline

This might be a fun fantasy thread for a hot July day. The MLB trade deadline got me thinking. If you could trade a trail(s) at your favorite/home mountain for a trail(s) from any other area what would it be?

Like in baseball it must be value for value to improve something lacking at your mountain or just to shake things up. For example, you can’t trade 2 little green trails at your home for Goat at Stowe.

The trades do not have to be between super star trails, they just have to have relative value.

Also you may accept, reject or propose modification if someone suggests a trade with your home mountain.

I propose a trade between Whiteface (my mountain) and Gore. I’ll trade you Essex, a steep, pretty long, mid width trail for Lower Steilhang. We have many trails like Essex at WF and Gore could use another steep trail. Lower Steilhang is narrow, winding with steep drops (kinda short though) and we could use it to balance our lineup. Essex has great value, people love it and I could ask for another trail in addition to Lower Steilhang, but I won’t. You can have it straight up.

So is it a deal or not?

Going to bend the rules

I would like to trade the views at either Cannon or Wildcat for Jay's snowfall.

I run into this same problem making actual fantasy baseball trades. Seems parties can never really agree on value.

See, I'd value Lower Steilhang higher than Essex. I'd prefer to ski Lower Steilhang over Essex any time. Face it, Essex is just warming pine at Whiteface. It's not a starter, it's a trail off the bench. You ski it now and again, but just when you want to give the starters a rest and shake the lineup up a little. Lower Steilhang is worthy of the starting lineup at Gore.

I would trade for fall line to glade to lower glade at MRG (complete with snowboard ban) for free fall at Mt. Sneaux, with lift and snowmaking (including snowboarders).

This would be a nice addition to the face @ sneaux and give us one trail without those pesky snowboarder (sorry DMC). Management does want to replace both triples with one HSQ. So the replacement would come sonner then later.

For MRG it would give them one trail with quality man made a lift that can handle snowboarders and a trail with enough cover to allow them to scrape there way down it.

Maybe, but maybe you just like to argue whether here or SKIADK;-):-D. If I said I'd trade the Follies for Rummor you'd have a reason to find fault in that deal. U know U like that Skidds. Nothing wrong with that BTW IMO. When everybody agreeing all the time it gets a bit stale.

As I now follow the path of iwon't I only disagree in a civil polite way.

Not that I have any aversion to a healthy disagreement on occasion, or more than one occasion..........but I'd never disagree just for the sake of disagreement. I just ain't that kinda guy. But I do call em as I see em.

Come on, you gotta admit that Lower Steilhang is a more fun trail to ski than Essex.

I'll trade all of Jordan Bowl, Oz, and Aurora at Sunday River for Gad Zoom and Gad 2 lifts and terrain at Snowbird...that's some prime SR real estate for what is essentially the Ghetto at the Bird.
