Well, you read me right. I got the boat out today since the skiing was

But it was for a good cause. I was volunteering for a Boy Scout swim meet. I did some safety demonstrations and also explained equipment that is needed for safe kayaking:

The paddling was intense. The original trailboss warned me not to get lost in "Lake Norwich." I did my best:

All in all, a nice few hours helping mentor young men and horsing around in my kayak on a January Day. You would expect nothing less from me:

Until next time....

Nice!....
The pool is certainly the place to hone the skills, keeps one from gettin' rusty. ...and that's one advantage to being a little southward....the warmer days do free up some of the easily navigatable(sp?) waters enough sometimes to get out early to simply get outside on some flowing water...more to satisfy one's paddle-addiction more than anything else.
Went for a few early afternoon walks in the local City Forest...(just outside of town). The sun plus warmer temps made it feel like those ideal March & April days....
