Trails to Chimney Pond - Baxter SP

I'm heading to Roaring Brook in a couple of weeks. The last time I was there in June all trails leading in the direction of Chimney Pond from RB were closed due to too much snow.
Sure, Sandy Stream Pond and South Turner are great destinations, but I want to take my Rookie into Chimney Pond (or beyond).
Does any one have current information on closed/open trails from Roaring Brook Camp?

i'll be up there on the 15-17th so i'll let you know how the trails are. i would imagine that snow won't be much of an issue this year especially all the way down at Chimney Pond.

Just recently someone posted on another board that the Abol approaches are still closed due to snow.

I hiked katahdin on saturday via the chimney pond trail to cathedral, across knifes edge, and down the helon-tailor trail, The trails were all very dry although it doesnt really matter because you are walking on boulders most of the time. the only snow to be found was a couple patches in the bowl above the pond. The back flies are wicked right now so bring spray with some serious deet in it ayuh!
