I am leaving April 28 to fly to San Juan, Pueto Rico where I wil be boarding the Crown Princess for a 7 day cruise to the Southern Carribean. This will be my first experience on any of the islands mentioned in the title to this thread and I was hopeing some AZers who have been there would have some suggestions on what to do/not do, where to go and must see/miss attractions.

I got my passport today and I'm freakin psyched to go! Siint Maarten( http://forums.alpinezone.com/10552-info-sint-maarten-st-martin-2.html )last november was a blast!

Thanks!

Go to St. John if you get a chance. Trunk Bay and Caneel Bay are unbelieveable.

Orient Beach on St. Martin (French side) is clothing-optional but a lot of fun.

Bring lots of Purell (hand sanitizer) and wear a surgical mask. The Norwalk virus that seems to be all the rage aboard cruise ships can really put a damper on your trip. I've never been to the Southern Carib, but have spent a lot of time in the Caymans, Bahamas, Central America and Puerto Rico. The one big thing I would suggest is to do a lot of research on the areas you are visiting and, wherever possible, get away form the "tourist traps" and try to really experience the places you are visiting. But BE CAREFUL. Try to get to know people on your cruise who are familiar with the areas, and let them be your tour guides.

Orient beach WAS a blast. Sorry,I cant share any of those pics on this particular website  .
The Sunset Beach Bar on the Dutch side of St. Martin is a must to watch the big birds fly in.

That video is awesome!!! There's a video floating around on the net of a plane similarly taking off near a beach and people were literally getting tossed all over the beach. I'll try to find it. Your not flying KLM, are you? It is a great airline, BTW.

Edit:

Found the video. It's the same airport as the one you mentioned.
