G]I refuse to believe that Tremblant is so much colder than northern VT....It's also funny that the "hard core" terrain experts turn around and whine about the cold!

I grew up 30 minutes from Tremblant and am now 60 minutes away. Yes, it is the coldest freaking place you can imagine. I have skied everywhere in the NorthEast and Tremblant is by far the coldest on a consistent basis. This is not a bunch of skiers claiming they are the toughest to endure the weather, it is simply reality. Don't believe me?? Come spend a week there in January. You can pretty much be guaranteed it won't be enjoyable.

I simply refuse to ski there until March, since by then the weather is reasonable. The rest of the time, I head south to Vermont to ski or Northe East to Quebec city.

Last year I was at Tremblant in mid-February . It was about 11degrees F at the base in the morning, but it warmed up during the day. I learned to ski in Canada a long time ago, and was introduced to the leather face mask there (in Quebec)... you know it's cold when there's ice on the inside of your face mask...

still - this year and last it rained in VT and NH (and CANADA) in January and/or Feb - the global warming thing is out of control in my opinion.
