Hello, I'm en-route to Mont Ste Anne for Christmas. Flying into Portland Maine and plan to drive up using Hwy 201. I have been warned this isn't a good road during winter. Any advice will be appreciated as I'm not familiar with Maine roads. I hope Mont Ste Anne is worth it it looks as though it's been dumped on pretty good so far.;-)

well, if you're in Portland, you don't really have any other choice but with that said - I haven't done it in oh, 24 years or so! But I have it on good report that the road is very good on the US side which use to be the problem. When I did it - it was not much more than a logging road. It has been upgraded significantly - you won't have problem.

It's one of the better roads in Maine.. not that thats saying much!

Make sure you go to Le Massif when you're there. they get more snow. nicer area and better skiing too IMO.
