Where: Alta, Alta, Snowbird, Deer Valley
Conditions: Dust on crust, Powder, Chopped Powder, Pow Bumps, Crud, 2 day old powder stashes, crusty groomers.

Started out a little late on the 24th at Alta. Kind of crusty to start, but it snowed all day with close to 6 inches by the end of the day. Explored most of the mtn with my favorites being Catherine's area and the stuff off of the Wildcat Chair. The best runs were had off of the Wildcat chair after 3 pm. I think that's my favorite area of the hill.

25th at Alta again. Another late start, this time due to traffic backed up while they cleared the road up. Alta got a foot or so overnight. This time just went straight to the Wildcat chair and powder turns all day. It was dumping most of the day and visibility sucked up high, to the trees in this are were perfect. It was ski on all day. Boot to thigh deep and the stuff off the Wildcat Area has so many cool little tree sections and drops that we could find fresh hits all day.

26th hit Snowbird to get more leftovers from the storm. Lots of chopped up pow with a few clean hits if you hunted. Some areas got a little heavy since it was a sunny day and getting warm. Started over at Peruvian and finished the day with runs off of the Gad2 lift.

Saturday I finished up a Deer Valley. Both my friends couldn't ski that day so I hooked up with Trekchick who was in the area with her Michigan buds. Another sunny day but windy. The groomers were kinda icy, I thought they were known for good grooming there ... anyway didn't spend much time on them. There are some nice tree runs throughout the area that don't get too much traffic and we spent the day seeking them out.

Was up at snowbird the same week as you. We watched them bomb superior friday morning as we had a perfect view from our townhouse. Thursday was steep and deep day at the bird. Gad two lift most of the day Thursday. Boot packed mount baldy Tuesday. Monday we ran the tram. 2800 vert in ten minutes lapped for most of the day will put the beat down on you. We had a guide for most of the week so there was not fooling around. Get off the tram and go. The Whiteface crew represented well. We went all hollywood on the place.

Came back Friday night. Went to whiteface to find everything open. What a differance a week makes.

Thanks for the TR. T-23 days and counting till I'm out there for 6 days. Have heard the complaints about the snow depth but those pictures look fine to me.

There were a few rocks sticking out here and there on Friday and Sat after stuff got skied off some. Nothing major though, except the 6 foot rocky cliff I slid down by accident.
