Trip Report: So Wednesday I found out that I had left my credit card at the Black Diamond, after the lovely Hannah (you know the one who does the ski reports), call me to let me know. So to my wife's chagrin, I had to venture back out to Wa last night to pick it up and at the same time make it back within an hour and a half to bathe our 10 month old! Naturally, with the new snow they had on the mountain from yesterday's storm, I had to take a few runs before I turned around and headed home. Skied 10th, Conifer and Smith, all very very nice... with the exception of the fog, it was a really good mini run out to the local hill. Wish I had taken yesterday off from work to head up north for the real goods, but last night I figured was a nice bonus.

I was there last night too, but I think the number of runs I took was equal to the beers I drank. There were issues with the timing system for night league and I ended up standing in the starting gate for 30+ minutes while they figured it out. By the time the let me go I was pretty chilled and there was a huge line at the start shack. Headed in to warm up and wound up having a couple beers too ... went back later to take my second run and then it was late so I went back in to eat and have a couple more beers. lol

They got about 6 inches of really sticky snow. Great for covering everything up. As long as there isn't a meltdown they should be set for the season now.

I was there too...never though I'd say this but it was awesome last night. Short lift lines, barely any ice, and smooth throughout the whole night. The fog was bad but not terrible by any means. Trickiest part was distingusing where the grooming ended and the fresh snow (with rocks and water bars underneath) started on the sides of the trails.

I did see that line for the racing and thought it was rediculous when the lines for the lifts were pretty much non existant. All in all it was the best day I've had this year, feels so good to be crusing on REAL snow from ma nature!

Maybe I'll leave my credit card there on purpose if Hannah gets to bring it to me.

Got there minutes after 9am. on the lift up 10th had only a few tracks. Turns out it closed, along with smith. Terrain park closed too. No indication on the snow report. Once it started raining, they opened the trails. Lame.
