Resort or Ski Area: Wachusett

Conditions: Loose Granular, Frozen Granular, Fresh Groomed (Smith), and a Sheet of Ice

Trip Report: Fourth outing of the year... Hit up the local hill for some night turns... Arrived around 4:00 when the day shift was leaving. Was actually ski on and off from the summit, with one caveat, the top of Conifer was a sheet of ice (blue see through ice), Smith Walton was icy bumped and 10th was nice soft bumps. I ended up lapping 10th until the groomers came out to clean up smith. Waited for the trail reopen and boom, had some fresh cord to ski as I was the 3rd one down the trail. After spending a few hours there, the crowds began to hit around 6:30 and I took off. Credit to wachusett for getting Smith Walton open and edge to edge. However, they do need to blow more snow on 10th mountain and in general need snow!

Are they seeding bumps on Hitchcock yet? I don't mind skiing the bumps on 10th but Hitchcock gets a lot less traffic and holds snow much better. I never am disappointed by them, while 10th on the other hand can be extremely hit or miss to say the least.
