Resort or Ski Area: Wachusett

Conditions: Freshly groomed, only skied Smith Walton..

Trip Report: A short trip out to wah tonight just to get some turns in. Boy was it packed, I only managed to get three runs on Smith before calling it a night. It was just wall to wall kids. I figured I was going to go skiing tonight anyway so I made the best of it. The three runs down Smith were great none the less. But with the long lines, kids not getting on the lifts correctly and etc... I figured hit the bar and then head home... Shortest trip to Wa this year! but I did get some runs in so that's what counts.

Saturday's are tough. I was out there on Friday morning and the crowds were more reasonable. I was only going to ski for a couple of hours, but conditions were nice so I ended up staying for about four hours. Things were fast and a little frozen in the morning, and then around lunchtime the snow softened up and felt nice and smooth. Probably one of my best days this season, and my legs were completely drained by the time I left. I didn't get to practice the bumps though since they were a little too firm for me that day.

Wow ONLY 3 runs seems hardly worth the effort!

I felt that 12 runs was paltry when i did that earlier this year bcuz of terrible conditions and the fact we had traveled an hr and i skied while my wife was at a mall nearby . I guess its all perspective though, -especially IF one lives close to the mtn

Warp,

I only live 30 minutes away so it's not that out of the way. Ordinarily I would have skied a lot more, but like I said, it was so packed, and even the singles line was backed up ... at that point I was like done. Since I have been out plenty of times to wa this year, the pass has already paid for itself.

As for the drinks... they were good!

That's the beauty of having a season pass. I miss those days...
