Trip Report:

OK, so tonight was the night I became a park hound. The new pass rocks. No more morons in the park so you can go through with less worry of hitting someone. The conditons were great. Some icy spots by 8:30, but not bad for 5 straight days of 50 degrees.

Balance Rock / Conifer: I can't believe how great the coverage is on Balance Rock. The trail was beautiful today. Conifer was also nice and smoth unlike most of the other trails. Only went once before grooming.

10th / Salamander: 10th was good before and after grooming. The right side of the trail was full of built up snow with the middle a bit scratched. Salamander was amazingly wonderful. Seriously, the natural trails were the best today.

Smith: Got bumpy and a bit icy quick, but it was still great. No speed to really get, but lower was full of air. The left was the best side on the steep due to pretty bad ice to the right. By the way, the grooming was horrible tonight, but that awlays happens here with the wet snow.

Hitchcock Terain Park: Straight box, 3 medium jumps, and some other rails. It had a good crowd all night. I hit the box for my first time ever and I almost screwed up the first time, but I got it quick. The jumps were awesome. They were short, but steep and has tons of air. At the bottom, I would fly down to the last hill before the Polar Carpet and get huge air off the last headwall.

Look Mom Terrain Park: After taking nearly 15 runs on Hitchcock, I bought the park pass and went on down. All of the features were the same as last week, but the halfppe was really screwed up. They need to re-cut the thing soon. As I said before, the park pass is a great idea and cuts down on people going through in everyones way.

That's all tonight. Powder day Wawa style coming friday and NH this weekend. Great timing for that trip.
