Trip Report:
Very short trip up to Wachusett as I was bored and wanted to do something for a little while. Bare spots are already showing up in what are usually deep places and I'm starting to question if they'll really make it to April 5th.
Ropers/Balance Rock/Conifer: Ropers is about finished off... very little snow on the upper part as well as plenty of pavement on the road section. Tomorrow will probably be it when we head for 60+ degrees. Balance Rock is still good...a few thin spots but it might make it through tomorrow. Conifer had excellent potatoes right down the right side.
10th/Salamander: Bumps were nice and soft but the lines (or lack there-of) were so awful that I had no desire to hit them more than twice. The rest of the trail was good with nice carveable soft snow. Upper Salamander still is fully covered.
Smith: Already a bare spot or two showing up at the top. Past that, the potatoes were really nice down the entire trail. Polar was in normal speed and had up to a 2 minute wait at points.
Look Ma: Some pretty bad bare spots showing up which might mean the end of some of the features so they can put some cover on the trail. Nothing has changed. They did rebuild the lips on the first 2 small jumps... a lot more pop now which caught me by surprise the first time and I almost went past the landings. Minuteman was in normal apeed and had a <5 minute wait.
That's all for today. I'll likely be at Burke Monday if the weather doesn't suck.
