Anual spring "get-out-of work–real early day" with my Warren Miller freebie. Don’t get much better than this at WaWa. Hovered at 60 degress on the summit. Can’t see them making it past St. Pattys, and that’s a maybe.

Wachusett is a beautiful place, some great views...........

melting fast, the background music was the babling of the run-off streams flowing steadily down the hill......

thought this pic. of youngster with the swim team jacket was fitting.

some soft well-skied-in bumps were to be found

I knew spring was coming when they stopped having Wachusett Winter on tap. The heat looks brutal for the snow. The bumps should at least be soft for a while. I hope things don't get so slushy that they groom them out before I get back out there. Are they letting Smith bump up yet or still grooming it?

Thay were letting it go yesterday, had groomed it overnight. By the end of the day it was probably my favorite run with nice soft piles of snow to crash through.

Was there in the AM with my old man. He enjoyed Balance Rock, reminded him of Wildcat. Smith was nice. Took the board into the moguls on Hitchcock, pretty fun. Sandwich and a Country Ale on the deck to cap off the day.

Liked Balance Rock, took it a couple times. Was there from 11:00-4:00. Grilled out when I got home! Love spring skiing!

All the stuff was frozen solid this morning after being groomed last night. Like skiing over a cheese grater until about noon when the corn machine came on. They've taken a huge hit from where they were last Sunday. I'll surprised if they make it past next weekend.

No kidding!! This is only my third season and the most ski days by far with major progression, so it's been awesome. But I keep thinking about how great it would have been to have had all that snow of the last few years.

It is very aggravating when people make small talk and say "haven't we been so lucky this winter?" Grrr.
