I just finished running at lunch. My pal and I were commenting on the mild weather and the improbability of skiing next week with temps like this.

But Wa's RSN site has a "mole" on the snowmaking crew. It starts tomorrow according to him.

Here's hoping the weather turns for all of us!

I don't normally go to Wachusett, but news of anyplace south of home starting up is exciting indeed...

Sweet. Looks like I may be missing Wa's opening day for the first time in many years due to me being in Maine. Bummer, always a good time at opening day.

That sounds reasonable. The weather is supposed to turn sometime in the next 24 hours and we'll have daily lows consistently into the 20s. Hopefully, we're past the danger zone and we can start to see gradually improving conditions. Of course, a little natural snow would be good too. I was hoping this would be the year we'd get our one year in five early start. :-?

Here's to the first November opening for them in 3 years!

I can't wait for next Friday! Not to mention from tomorrow through next Wednesday, temps will be very cold at night, and then AFTER next Wednesday, the real arctic front comes through which could allow for snowmaking around the clock. I'm betting Conifer, 10th, Challenger, Look Mom, Indian Summer, Sundowner, and Ollies will be the open trails and with the temps for next week, the rest won't be far behind.

You really think they'll have those open? Im gonna go with Conifer and Indian Summer. I cant wait for Friday. Im definitely gonna be there. I really hope they do start making snow tomorrow night, if they do they should definitely have enough snow to open up on Friday.
