Any TR posted from tonight (2/2/2011) session at wa will be greatly appreciated if posted before 0500 tomorrow.

Did snow ops groom the whole hill or will some goodies be left for the AM?

I was going to go last night but left my helmet at home and took that as an omen to just go home after work. I would hope they groomed last night and i guarantee they groomed this morning.

They can't handle fresh snow due to the flats and huge skier volume. Last time I went during a snow storm a few weeks ago they didn't groom and it was a minefield of ruts all the way down.

creamy hardpack at wa

Just got back an hour ago from the 1/2 day at wa.

Hero snow all morning and place was pretty much deserted. A few runs down Connie we had edge to edge untouched cord of natural hardpack. May have been the best groomed conditions I have ever ski'd.

The entire hill was groomed top to bottom, no freshies to be had.....but it was about as good as I imagine wa can get.

Agree that the flats at wa can be a bit much in deep snow but I was still hoping for some fluffy natural powder bumps.

Alas my Volkl Explosivs never got out of the car....it was a perfect snacking day for my 170 i supershapes.....they are dripping off very happily on the front steps here at home.
