Trip Report:
Forecast Saturday morning looked bleak with rain and temps around 60. It got sunny, so we decided to head up for a half-day. As soon as we got on the lift, it started raining. Great luck there.
Most of the trails were pretty scraped and full of slush and bare spots. Only exception was True Grit, which had great coverage and had nice soft snow the whole way. Very little crowds.

4 firsts for me Sunday:
1. Rode my first J-Bar
2. Rode my first Poma
3. Unloaded in my first midstation
4. Saw Mt. Washington for the first time in my life
Every trail on the mountain was very icy Saturday. The run down from High Country felt like a footsie-wootsie with all of the corn on it. There was a very entertaining bump competition on True Grit. No crowds.

Great day today. Every trail was covered in at least 6" of nice powder. By the end of the day, a few spots were starting to show the icy base from the day before, but those spots were avoidable. The deepest snow was on Gema and Ciao. Took a nice tumble down True Grit after hitting an unexpected deep spot. Periphery was in good shape considering yesterday it was closed and just had a few patches of ice left.
So, a very variable weekend at Waterville. They (along with everyone else) should be in great shape for a while with the new snow. I'll have a report from Wachusett Friday night. I still have weekend trips to Killington, MRV, Burke, and Smuggs left this year as well as a few other random day trips.
