Went up to Waterville for the $1 April fools day. I don't really like Waterville as it skis very small, has a bad layout, and all the trails ski the same. But for a dollar, I could not turn down one last day of skiing..
It was definitely hot up there, T shirt and sunscreen weather. There were a lot of people there, the lines for the white peak quad got really long and the maze area became a giant puddle/pond. Coverage was pretty good, but it won't last long. Besides the summit area the only closed trail was Bobby's run. Only negative on the day was bending a pole almost 90 degrees getting off the lift. It got stuck in the seat back. I guess I now have to get new poles again, I seem to go through a pair every other year. Oh well that's next years problem.
That's it for the season for me. In the end got 23 days in. Already thinking about next year.
