WCAX focused on Cochran's Ski Area in Richmond for this story...some interesting stuff...especially the fact that they have had a few $4-5,000 weekends  Glad to hear that things are working out...

The article.

cool article! what a great place...better than having a putting green in your backyard!

a couple of years ago, we bought 6 acres of dirt on the eastern slope of mount bross in park county, co...just south of breck...and i was hoping at some point to be able to have a little set up just like the cochran's place. we all gotta have a dream, right?

our place is on the far left of this photo, just below the ridge of pines...you can just make out the road in the clearing below the dense patch of trees...

I'd venture to say that deep snow helps the little guys more than the big guys. Not having to blow snow is HUGE for these little areas. The couple of times I've been to Mt. Abram this winter I've actually enjoyed waiting in the liftline and paying full price.

The little guys are an important fabric of the industry we love, anything that helps them out I'm all for.
