The discussion of GSS's Budweiser-drinking in another thread leads me to wonder about this...am interested to know...

Mine are:

In VT: Long Trail DoubleBag
In ME: Shipyard Export
In CO: Fat Tire Amber Ale or Sunshine Wheat
In NY: Ithaca Double IPA or Apricot Wheat or Cascazilla or Partly Sunny
In Utah: Anything that isn't 3.2 beer***
Everywhere else: Guiness, or Sam Adams Light if I am having a bunch.

Also, for a drinking game: Miller Lite

*** I recently learned that 3.2 beer, whose alcohol content is limited by statute (in various states), usually refers to Alcohol by Weight (ABW), not the alcohol by volume (ABV) metric we normally think of. Thus 3.2 ABW beer is actually close to/over 4% ABV beer, which, if you are drinking something nasty like Bud Light or Miller Lite, is prob not that far from the normal ABV (mid to low 4s)

I'm not a huge Budweiser fan..I just had some in my fridge to get rid of for Gaper day...

In Stowe I love hitting the Shed for Mountain Ale..or Magic Hat/Otter Creek/Long Trail on tap at a local bar.

The local bar I hit around here after skiing has $2 Magic Hat #9s and Sam Adams White Ale on Thursday nights...mmmm..

In Jackson Hole..Snake River Brewary is great..

At Okemo..I like to hit up the Irish Pub..Kilarneys??? For Harp and Guinness..

Nothing goes better with Apres Ski beer than Pizza, nachos, or BBQ..

during - mich ultra 10 oz , gotta hydrate son....and they fit nice in pockets - both full and empties
after - guiness, magic hat or a sammy - in VT its fat angel since they dont export to pa, at Greek Peak its a "brando" black and tan/half and half = guiness/miller lite (? ask the locals)

the other beer in my standard stock "quiver" is the labatts blue can for post hockey refreshment

First choice is the local, whatever that may be. That means Woodstock Brewery in the Lincoln, NH area, Wachusett at Wachusett, Sunday River Brewing at Sunday River, etc. You get the idea.

Give me a porter (Otter Creek Stovepipe), a hefeweizen (Allagash), a brown ale (Woodstock), or a stout (almost any), in that order.

For those long day at Berkshire East, we routinely (well every time we're there) we go to the Charlemont Inn for a BBC Shabadoo. As a good friend puts it, "Mother's Milk!".

I too like the line "Cold and in my hands..."

This is my kind of post!

Some have mentioned LT's double bag, but that can be a bit much sometimes. I really like LT Hibernator even my Hineken drinking friend will enjoy a few. Take a look at the label on the Hibernator, what do you suppose Poppa Bear put in his pipe?

I like a Guiness when I can get one. Otherwise I usually get whatever the local microbrew is.

Long Trail is perfect beer. Perfect.

Out here I like hazed and infused and fat tire. Although I almost never drink after 1 because I don't want an oui.

My favorite is a Bag Brown Ale at The Bag at Sugarloaf.
Wachusetts Country Ale is pretty good. I always stop in for a couple of those after skiing there.

I've gotta go with Killian's Red. It brings back memories.

Because it was the end of a week-long April Colorado ski trip . . . we had 2 hours to kill in Denver before our flights out . . . we took the factory tour.

The end to a perfect trip!
