From what I heard 'reported' - so who knows the truth - supposedly he was medically except from wearing a mask and had the Canadian paperwork to go with it.

Its not useless as this just happened on a lift. What is useless and partisan about what happened is that a Govt can have their ideas trickle down till a business enacts rules and concepts that are against almost every western country founding principles as its even worse on a ski mountain. It matters these days to me because I had to deal with a mask-ninja freak of a mom about her covid risks Bla bla bla and a couple that had to have the whole Gondola to themselves on more then one occasion while being on mountain "Thats this year" Last year in VT was a worse experience with rule patrols on lift lines and a germaphobe family trying to get me de-passed at smugglers for being mask-less

I hate rules in general. I am not a big fan of masks. BUT. When asked, I wear the mask. Why, because it makes some people who are nervous feel better. The way I look at it, it is a very small thing and it does not take that much to do it. At least for now. Looks like it will get better soon. I think of it as being kind to people with an anxiety problem. I am with others on here. Everything is this big political statement. If I was in that line waiting all that time for some jerk to make a statement I would have been loosing my shit.

The way I look at it, which is a bigger afront to democracy? wearing a mask for a while or a leader of our government saying it is OK to storm the capital and try to over throw our democratic process. The point is there are far bigger issue today then wearing a stupid mask.

Sorry, I never once understood why people make such a big deal about being required to wear a mask in some places. It really isn't that big of a deal. You're required to wear clothes in many places as well. Why is there no revolt about that?

Skiing isn't a "right". A particular ski resort/town/county/province/country requiring masks in certain places at resorts isn't infringing on your rights. End of story. Don't like the rules, go ski somewhere else. Making a big scene about it is just stupid. Just because you disagree with a rule doesn't mean you can ignore it with no consequences.
