What's the longest trail in the East?

It used to be Juggernaut at Kililngton, but it now it's interrupted and you can't ski from upper to lower Juggernaut, so probably not the longest anymore.

Of the trails I've skied, it's probably Great Eastern at Killington. Other suggestions? Can someone take out google maps and try to measure them?

Toll Road at Stowe is about 4 miles. I believe Mountain Road at Okemo is around the same.

I'd say toll road at Stowe is the longest I've seen. Jester at Sugarbush always seems like a long run to me too.

Any time I've tried measuring trail lengths on Google Earth (with the "path" tool), they come out way shorter than the resort's claims.

This old trail map :

Lists Juggernaut (Upper/Middle) at almost 7 miles, and Juggernaut (Lower) at a little more than 3 miles. I do not know where the official dividing line is, but I would guess it is the Bear Parking lot. If that is the case, then Juggernaut from K peak to Bear is still very long at almost 7 miles.

could it ever have been considered "skiing" to begin with?

hardest trail, bar none, in the U.S.

Just for kicks, about a month ago, I skied Juggernaut. The part below Bear was closed, but I skied from the top down to Bear. Even with a couple of inches of fresh snow I only had to skate a little in a couple of places. Very peaceful, or boring depending on your mood, but not at all difficult. Unless you are on a snowboard or badly in need of wax I would still consider it very easy skiing. It is just one more thing that makes Killington unique.

This is interesting. If Juggernaut from top to Bear is 7 miles, then it probably is still longest in the east. I actually find juggernaut a peaceful and welcome run after braving crowds in other trails.

I've skied Toll Road at Stowe. Lovely trail. Feels more or less as long as Great Eastern at Killington. Not sure which one is longer.

I was always under the impression it was the Toll Road at Stowe. Kind of a boring trail, though scenic in parts.
