Never been all that into researching ski gear, demoing gear, and never had a big quiver (2 pairs now and the second is a rock ski). That being said I have owned a lot of different skis over the years and I love my Mantras (98 under foot) in all conditions. Sure I may be better off with a narrow waste on icy days, or 120 under foot on a powder day, but I never really feel like I am lacking performance in any conditions with this ski.
