Where should I go tomorrow??

Me and a friend are going to be heading north from Long Island NY tomorrow for our first day out.. where do you guys suggest we go? We were thinking going somewhere close and cheap: Windam, Bellayre, Hunter.. but each only has a few trails open.

Killington seems to have a good amount of trails open, but is it worth the extra driving time (and $$) this early in the season??

Any other suggestions??

Go to Killington.

It's the closest mountain that should have enough open to keep you entertained for the day.

I'd go to Okemo for $15 Facebook Friday. I was skeptical based on the trail offerings today, but they just added the latest status update, so my friends and I will definitely be heading there -

"Okemo Mountain Resort I love good news: 35-40 trails expected for Facebook Friday. Plus Jackson Gore opens tomorrow and you can get your lift ticket for $15. Anything else? *happy* BTW if you are coming - check in for Facebook Friday is Clocktower base lodge only. CU in the morning!!!"

I think bheemsoth might be on the right track here... $15 is a good deal.

K-ton obviously has a terrain advantage over Okemo, but you'll have to decide if that's worth the additional $$$
