Met up with HPD today. Conditions where pretty good through the afternoon. Bluebird skies and those loooooong runs make a nice combo. It's great to ski with someone who knows there way around and HPD is the guy. The man can rip it up. It was me chasing him, Mrs. Slug chasing me. Pretty much hit most of the areas, found some bumps on makenzie and a few shorter runs. The summit was in good shape, good steep shots. Then the crowds rolled in...and in...and in. it was a record attendance day for WF, they even ran out of rentals. As the day wore on..the snow wore off, but thats the way it is up there. The top got pretty slick. But then I ran into HPD again, knows where the goods are lurking. Upper Cloudspin was the run of the day. No one was on it due to the ........sporty conditions getting to it. Once in there it was pure snow, bumps, double fall line. Whish I knew about it before. Made the mistake of going down Parons instead the run before...carnage. So I ended the day with that run. Just too many moving obstacles to avoid and I was starving..never stopped for lunch, which was a shame as the wife said it was great and inexpensive, better than my Cliff bar. Really want to come back for some spring skiing, the vertical is huge, hell the whole place is pretty huge and HPD is a great tour guide.
