WILMINGTON, NY — Whiteface is opening for the 2004-2005 skiing and riding season on Saturday, November 20. The site of the 1980 Winter Olympic alpine events and the ski and ride competitions for the 2000 Winter Goodwill Games will operate daily beginning November 20.

"Our lower mountain coverage is the best it’s been for recent openings," said Whiteface Mountain Assistant General Manager, Bruce McCulley. "With the warmer temperatures, we expect spring-like skiing and riding."

Whiteface will offer intermediate snowboarding and skiing on the Upper Valley and Lower Valley trails with lift service via the Face Lift. Expected snow conditions will be machine-groomed wet granular. Beginner and novice trails will not be available.

Whiteface will be open from 8:30 am – 4 pm. Daily lift tickets are currently $38 for adults, seniors and teens. Daily lift tickets for juniors (7-12 years old) are $32. If undecided, patrons may purchase a one-ride ticket for $10. That fee can be applied to a full day ticket for that day.

For updated Whiteface skiing and riding information, please call the Coca-Cola Snow Phone at (518) 946-2223 or 877-SKI-FACE or log on to www.whiteface.com.
