Whiteface guns reving up

Just got the email, snowmaking to commence on the face on Nov 2nd, aka Thursday. Lets get it on!

I can't wait. I can't get up there until 12/26 and i'm dying. I got new boots, a new jacket and new pants and I can't wait to break them on whiteface.
By the way- long range forecasts look pretty good for temperatures to be favorable for snowmaking.

The upper trails look white from across the lake.......

Webcams have shown white trails for what seems like 2 weeks or so now. Nothing at the base at all though from what Ive seen.

That's ok...it is still only 11/1. As long I can cruise top to bottom after xmas i'll be happy. Well actually as long as I can ski at all I'll be happy.

I would be estatic just to have all of little whiteface open mid December when I'm up there.

yes...I was up there in march and the summit was closed but everything on little whiteface was open and it was great. I did countless laps on mt. run and wilderness. Also since the wind had shut down the gondola only the little whiteface two person chair was running up to the top and so NOBODY was up there. Awesome skiing all around.

I was there on opening day last year, Only excelsor was open :-(
Hopefully the Snow Gods will be nice to me this year.

Any chance some snow remains after this warmup? Is much rain expected up there?
