Why am I behind a computer screen, and not on the snow?

With a surprise foot of lake effect to northern vermont, I'm kicking myself for not being on snow up there right now... I had planned to be at Stowe today, and Smuggs tommorow... but somehow the plan didn't materialize...

Agggghhh... :dunce: My board is being repaired from Decembers dings, but I should/could be demo'ng some new gear right now!

Next weekend I'm going to be hungry, more snow, please come my way!

I am not out because of a knee injury. I will be back out there next weekend if not sooner!

You need to play hooky this week. MRG has their $3.50 lift day on Tuesday. Together with the great conditions...well, what are you waiting for?
Uh oh.... Someone did not read the original post carefully enough. Hopefully this thread does not go down the tubes because of that remark :spin: ;)

Having a board (or skis) in the shop should never interfere with plans. Time to get another board!

Yeah, I've heard something about MRG not allowing snowboarders, what's up with that anyways?

we'll talk about MRG's motto some other time, some other thread...

For 3.50$, I'll ski it if I can.

And for the record, I hate when snowboarders scrape their way down the hill too.

Yep, I only have one decent board... Saving up for the replacement gear, but my top options are expensive. Pre Split-boards are pricey, the kit seems a bit dicey, Tele-gear seems to be even more expensive, and new alpine sticks while tempting just aren't as appealing to me. A new free-riding board doesn't bring much excitement to the mix, but does allow for a backup/early season board to take a few more chances.

Still behind a computer instead of on snow, guess it's time to check the forecast and make a few phone calls.
