Ditto. BTW, Loon also reported getting 11" the day before yesterday. Wow! Looks like NH struck gold in this storm.

That's weird because Cannon was reporting maybe an inch or two at the summit. Can't believe Loon got snow and Cannon didn't.

But I just looked and this is what they are reporting ..."Snow Total (last 48 hours) 11 " "

I think Loon got 11" on top, and slop/rain at the base. From my research yesterday, all snow above 4000 ft, mixed 2000-4000. I also am surprised that Cannon didn't get much.. but typically storms that Cannon does better seem to have the storm come from the west... Maybe Lafayette and Franconia ridge got the snow instead of Cannon.

Wildcat is the place to be today! I haven't heard from Riverc0il -- maybe he's there.

I was there on Sunday and it was the place to be that day. Had a great time. Snowing on the top and the rain softened up the bottom nicely. Was lapping Liftlion and I didn't see anothers tracks on it.

move: miscatagorized

Well, hopes of fishing out a trip report seem to have failed -- I guess this thread can be removed from the Trip Reports section.

Loon did not get 11 inches. I was there monday and tuesday. From my observation, it was much closer to 6" at the summit, with 1-3" as little as 100 feet down from the summit. It was very wet, sloppy snow, as you would expect from this storm. the bottom got 100% rain with some nasty bare spots to prove it. certainly not a strong winter for NH overall. needless to say...the top was skiing really well!
