How are they holding up? Anyone been this week? I see that they are open daily through 4.26.

Bare spots are part of the fun at Wildcat in April. I'll be there this weekend. Probably at least Saturday, maybe Sunday too.

Woa, can't believe that terrain at 1:58 was open.

That is common. Wildcat's opening policy is very liberal. Some ski areas close terrain unless an intermediate can get down without scratching their skis. Wildcat's standard is whether ski patrol can get your busted ass down in a sled on their rock skis.

Thanks, guys. Looking pretty good and considering the cheap tickets for kiddos on Sunday, I think we are going to give it a try. If the weather holds, might stay Monday too.

I wish I could stay until Monday! I have a job interview on Hartford. I'll be jealous.

Hartford? Require a move?

I'm playing hard ball with my employer. I got a "promotion" to another entry level position a couple months ago. I flipped my shit and threatened to leave to senior management. Considering I was "Employee of the Year" I felt I had some capital to burn. They agreed to give me what I wanted, but told me it would be in San Francisco.

This interview may be my big bargaining chip. It is with our largest customer and would be a real promotion. I don't think they would want me to leave in general, never mind to the largest customer considering I know where the bodies are buried since I put them there.

The end goal is a real promotion at my current employer. Thus far they have agreed to my proposal for the role and transition plan. The terms outstanding to negotiate are salary and title.

Good luck! So if you take the promotion that means a move to San Fran?

If I want the job I asked for then yes. The other option is I settle for a lesser promotion, and get to stay put for now. We've tentatively agreed upon a lesser promotion and staying put for 6 months. This would involve flying to San Francisco and work there every 4-8 weeks. They would look to fill the higher level job with someone else.

My goal is to convince the higher ups that I am the guy they want and they should let me work from my slope side office. There is a sister company office in Salt Lake City!
