XC/low angle BC this weekend?

Looking for somewhere to go BC skiing with the wife this weekend. I need someplace that has hills, but nothing narrow/steep crazy as she's not much for going downhill on her skis. Just not enough snow around here (CT) to do it. Looking for someplace 1.5 hours or less away - SVT or Northern MA.

Anyone know of anything? I'd like more of a wilderness experience than goomed, true XC stuff. Not looking for any secret stuff, just any parks people might know about.

Kennedy park in western Mass. Biked there. Seemed like it would be a fun xc/bc ski. Not sure if they groom...

Good thought. I biked there this summer as well. I'll check out what I can find out on line.

My bro lives not far away. He said there's snow on the ground and it's been flurring all week....with some fluff accumulating.

Acadian

I just talked to a guy at the Acadian and he said it was about 31 degrees and bright sun, suspecting that the snow was melting in places. I'll keep an eye on the temps and make a game day decision.

It is on the north side of the ridge. We got a lite sun crust today on south facing stuff, but I bet you can find some north facing cold snow.
