Fun late afternoon skiing on the way up to No. VT/Canada. Always enjoy lapping the steeper trails from the Vortex lift. Snow was excellent along the edges of the trails.

28. Feb. 27, 2026 Mont Sutton

Sutton was blacked out this weekend so decided our first day would be there. Absolute gem of a mountain. Trails are full of character with trees scattered about on what seemed like most trails. The actual glades were great too!

29. Feb. 28, 2026 Lyndon Outing Club

Original plan was to ski Burke. However the summit lift was on wind hold with no real indication if the winds would die down. We took it as a sign to go do other things. Grabbed some coffee and went for a drive around Lake Willoughby. Very cool area!

On our way back towards Lyndonville, Burke was still dealing with wind so we took the opportunity to patron Lyndon Outing Club for the afternoon. What a great little mountain! Snow was sticky but everything was open. Was pleasantly surprised with the trails skiers left of the TBar!

I'd like to check out the outing club at night someday. A local at Burke this week was talking about how fun it is to ride the T Bar through the dark as they don't illuminate the track.
The LOC was where I did most of my skiing growing up when there was snow. Great place. Great terrain. Really fun place and completely run by volunteers. And they used to have some limited lighting on the T-Bar line when I last skied there. Must be they have not replaced the bulbs.

1) Park City (Canyons) - 1/02 holy hell it's terrible, but kid's clinics start this weekend & wanted to get the little a day on snow prior
2) Park City (Canyons) - 1/03 the first legitimate east coast conditions I've experienced in Utah. Brought back memories
3) Park City (Canyons) - 1/09 took 4 after school runs with the wife & little one on blue groomers. Conditions better after the recent snow, still not great.
4) Park City (Canyons) - 1/10 bizarrely empty! Conditions much improved. Powder in the trees. Lord, it feels like ski season finally.
5) Park City (Park City) - 1/17 MLK Friday & empty! Icy moguls, steep groomers icy, groomed beginner & intermediate terrain was okay.
6) Park City (Park City) - 1/23 Took the little one up McConkey's for the first time for some Georgeanna & Powder Monkey fun. Snow's good (not sure how).
7) Park City (Canyons) - 1/24 Empty. Even more bizarrely so than MLK weekend. Literally the only person on multiple trails. Ski on all day. On SATURDAY!
8) Park City (Canyons) - 1/31 Empty. Another empty Saturday of ski-on lifts. Groomer only. Decent considering no snow. Anything steep is east coast though.
9) Park City (Canyons) - 2/07 Empty. Another empty Saturday of ski-on lift. Groomer only. Decent considering no snow. Furrys. Lots of Furrys.
10) Park City (Canyons)- 2/13 After school Saddleback laps with the wife & little one. Six inches fell, but sadly I felt no difference. We need MUCH more.
11) Park City (Canyons)- 2/20 What is this white stuff?!?! Still empty. Just a few hours of after school laps with the wife & little one.
12) Park City (Canyons)- 2/21 Busiest day of the year, snow brings crowds. Caught in a slide on 9990 (RP Shoots). Bluebird day. Lost a ski. But I'm okay!
13) Park City (Canyons)- 2/27 Really bad conditions. Lost a TON of snow in the last 6 days. At this point, hoping we can make it to April. NEED SNOW.
14) Park City (Canyons)- 2/28 SUCKS! (Worst conditions I've seen since I moved to Utah)
15) Park City (Canyons)- 3/06 Afternoon groomer laps with the fam. Sadly, PC groomed anything that looked like new snow for preservation. I get it though.
16) Park City (Canyons)- 3/07 Bright sunny day. ROTD was Pipe Dream, a LONG mogul run. Both Hurricane Alley & Pinball Alley were fun too with good snow.

Black yesterday and Cranmore today. Both spring days but today was insanely warm and Cranmore skied pretty nice.

My understanding is this is the last year Zip’s pub will exist, and is currently only open weekends. One of the best ski bars ever, bums me out. The new base lodge and bar are certainly nice, but zero personality, feels like a hotel.

Wasn’t intending to ski, but was in the area and its only $5. Great little volunteer operation and they’ve had a very successful season with 32 days open at that point. Skied for about an hour which is more than enough for my arms on a rope tow.

32. Mar. 08, 2026 Tenney Mtn
Started cloudy but turned into a sunny and warm afternoon. Crowded by Tenney standards. About a 5 minute wait for the hornet. Snow was sticky. Pretty much had to stick to the groomers as the natural snow was just too soft and slow.

33. Mar. 09 2026 Sunday River
Out of work at 10 and at the mountain by 11:30. Excellent spring skiing. White Heat and Shockwave were runs of the day.

34. Mar. 10, 2026 Sugarloaf
Felt and looked more like a late April day at Sugarloaf. Nevertheless, the best of this 4 day stretch of skiing. Lapped King Pine most of the morning and then Skyline/SQ in the afternoon.
