Yeah, there are a lot of resorts with lessons now. But as stated above, the NATO events would probably be my recommendation of where to look. As for Tele-Chicks. I don't know if it's them, the fact that their on tele's, or a combo of the two, but I've never scene one I didn't find attractive.

My job is in an office that has to stay open 24/7/365. It is understood that you will have to work some holiday's sometimes. I think getting a job at a ski resort you should kind of consider this. But yeah, extra compensation or appreciation helps out. Some employees may actually volunteer...

Evacs happen just rarely enough for resorts to justify skimping on training for them. Emergencies are somthing that will never get the time, funding, or resources for training they deserve. How many events will it take before people realize this?

I agree that bases and quality are important. I'm just saying the fact that on a holiday weekend like Thanksgiving, the effort to open up more trails should have really paid off. I think that with all the natural snow, it wouldn't have taken 1/8th of the years snowmaking budget to add some...

To survive meaning staying open, sure deep bases are good. However, I think getting the trail count up was a key factor for the holiday weekend. That had to help draw in a couple extra bucks for K-mart having over 50 trails, even if that number has been cut almost in half since.

Alot of trails have thin cover that will not withstand next weeks forecast os 1-1.5" of rain and 60F temps. All in all this was the best Thanksgiving skiing I have done in many years and I skied both of my bronze pass blackout days with May 1st slalom vouchers. This is not what I want to hear...

I thought 3 or 4, but some vehicle problems and work kept it steady at 2. That is 2 months in a row with 2 days now. December has to be better.
