Agree about shop at the base. Wife and I were there 3 years ago and had to buy boots (or we could not ski). Good initial assessment for the boot. Then they kept adjusting fit to my wife's foot over three days. Awesome service!

Not sure I really understand the purpose of this thread? Why would you write off a place before you experience it? Lots of hate on this and other forums for Stratton for example, but snow quality has always been fine for us, enough variety to get away from the crowds, I have NEVER paid full...

SRNE card... We have gotten the cards each of the last three years. this year we received free tix to black (midweek), tenney (anytime) We also try to hit the weekend tour and have already saved 2-3x what we paid for the cards. Great program!

Go to Pico! When we had the ASC pass, we would try Kmart, but the crowds would be horrible, so we drove down the street. Go over to Pico...park in the first lot...longest wait I ever had was about 3 minutes. I seem to recall them not touching the trails around the yellow double chair (? outpost...

Anyone heard an update on the lift repair? Drove by today on the way to Sunapee (who has their own lift issues). Really stinks! Was looking forward to doing some nite skiing midweek. Hope they get things running soon.

Stratton pass We won passes last year...didn't use them. We were too busy trying to bleed our ASC bronze passes dry. Especially late season at loaf and the river. River was amazing all march and april last year!

I like snowboarders...Think that I wouldn't like being strapped to one big board. As for sitting...you can sit all you want...just try not to sit in the middle of the trail with your 5 closest friends!

Have only done Stratton on w/e's and didn't find it too horrid. There have always been crowds, but I didn't need to worry about being slammed into by 14 people on the way down. I agree with what someone said here or in another post...think that stratton gets a little too much flack. I have...

Price isn't really that bad...less than 10 days...PAID. 17 blackout dates aren't that big a deal to me. Didn't miss those holiday periods w/ my A41 pass, I had 14 black outs then. Crowds on holiday periods are horrible anyways. Seeing as I live less than an hour from these places, seems worth...
