Wow. Definitely no fall terrain terrain there. I'm curious as to how steep the upper portion is.

That was pretty cool - music sucked!

While I didn't like the music per se, I thought it was an excellent choice. It matched the uneasy and nervous mood that you'd expect of someone who's skiing that.

I thought the snow actually looked pretty good.

Not between the rocks. He was using a pick ax and side slipping. the beginning as well - Quick turn and shave the surface, quick turn shave the surface, ........

Further down looked pretty good!

Top looked pretty good too. He probably only side slipped so that he could ski the line he had chose ahead of time without additional hiking.

Ballsy for sure.

Is this more or less impressive than the guy who straightlined Everest with a parachute? I can't decide. At least the Matterhorn guy didn't free fall uncontrollably for half the length.

I skied right under the Matterhorn at Zermatt and Cervinia last year. I cant even fathom how that is possible after seeing that mountain in person.

+1. I've seen the matterhorn from all faces and they all look unskiable. The east face is the only one skiable and the top (below the shoulder on the Horbly ridge) pushes 60 degrees which is the maximum skiable. You need big balls and incredible technique to go above 50 degrees on long faces where a fall means death.

Zooming down steep faces (TGR like) at full speed is one thing, but this is a whole other level. Kinda like Tom Honnold freeclimbing Yosemite valley big faces. Many have the technical ability but basically no one has the mental skill and balls to do it consistently.
