I know some forums don't allow you to post photos until you've reached a certain # of posts. Just thinking out loud here but do you think that maybe putting through a setting like that, even if it's only 5 posts or something, would help hinder some of the porn spam?

Not that I'm a prude or anything. Just figured it would make the site more family-friendly and safer to browse at work is all. :D

I didn't think anything like that was making it through to our site. I never see them, maybe I'm not looking hard enough?

We're usually pretty quick to get rid of them, but they do make it through.

Just a thought I had this morning when I came across some spam.

Not that I mind coming across the porn spam... it's like a reward for reading through all the mogul threads. ;) I just know that a lot of you browse from work and that looking at porn at work is usually frowned upon.

One in the Hiking section now. What is it with the porn spam typically only showing up in the hiking section?

Does Hiking translate in some other language as some sort of sex terminology?

It looks like a good one too with a lot of pics. Too bad my secretary is here so I didn't attempt to try and hit the report button, was too busy scrambling to hit the back button

Hey, I have time, I could spam the forum with porn. But I would rather not be booted. ;)

No offense to our members, but I think one member of the hiking community's username may be part of the reason why the hiking forums are targeted. I have no scientific proof; it's just a hunch.

I wonder if PASR has issues with spam because of Sexkitten over there. Not her specifically spamming, just the same logic as you're implying.

That chick with three boobs is pretty impressive.

In the future if you guys could use the report button (
report.gif
) to report the spam we can get to it quicker...

I do most of the time. Since it was being discussed I assumed someone already had.

sure thing,

Where though? start a new thread or in the actually thread?

When you click on the red triangle button below the user's name/avatar it will alert all of the mods about the spam. It will allow you to add a note about why you're reporting the post if you'd like.
