Google Map satellite

I was playing around with Google's new Satellite mapping today. It is fun to zoom into skiing area. Looks very different looking right from above.

Here are a couple of examples:

Wachusett Mountain:

Killington:

MA is fully covered with high resolution images but
only partially for VT, NH, ME. Killington is an exception I found in VT.

We had a similar thread going using Terraserver. The detail on some of the Google Maps is pretty impressive though...

I like the photos, but that small preview pane from Google is a real nusiance. I need a magnifying glass!! :eek:

Thanks for the reference. I like the K shot in that thread better. Although
it is black and white, there are still snow left on the trail.
