My son and I decided to check out the town lake (Wangumbaug Lake) after a week + of continuous sub freezing temperatures. The lake has ice about 1' thick according to a ice fisherman that we talked with. There where alot of people out on the lake including a snowmobiler in a bay that had wind drifted snow. It's a big lake at 373 acres.

A foot thick has got to be a lot for Connecticut no? I wonder how thick the ice is at my house in NH.

The fishing is supposed to be pretty good there.
