I found this quite interesting that mt baker ski area holds the world snowfall record for 1 year, 1140 inches :blink: i would think somewhere else would able to beat that like the high peaks of western canada, like north of whistler, but i dunno.
I would be happy with that amount of snow over a 10 year period.
Imagaine getting like that much snow in a big city like boston...

I was reading that the record was set during the 1998-1999 season. I skied at Timberline Lodge from May 11th - 16th in 1999, and they had 205" of base at the lodge during that time. The first story of the hotel was completly buried. :eek: :eek:

The mid-station on Palmer had to be dug out with a snowcat!!!!
