However, I still say nobody skis DH skis without plates. People just don't go out and kick it all around on 215's anymore. .

correct back in the day they did ski them without plates. they are just to young to know better.

Last night, tuned up my early '00's vintage 218cm Volkl DH with Deflex PLATE, and '08 vintage Atomic DH (womens) with PLATE. Ready to do some longboarding!!!
