Date(s) Skied: March 13, 2011
Resort or Ski Area: Saddleback
Conditions: A bit of everything
Trip Report: Surprisingly good day at Saddleback. We decided to sleep in due to time change and make a half-day of it. Skied 12:30 to close and it was pretty good.
Saddleback has a lot of cover. Deepest of the season. The liquid event locked it all up however. The natural trails off the rangeley softened up a bit. Peachy's and Smelt skied pretty well considering. Definitely firm, but enough loose stuff to make it fun.
Groomers of the day were the Devils and Silver Doctor. Sugary snow mostly. Tight line skied pretty well from the top... while Supervisor was pretty chunky.
We need 1 more dump followed by no rain then bring on the spring skiing! Saddleback is all primed for a good spring.
Their website blog says they are going to stay open on weekends through May. Very cool.
