Nice! I'm guessing Jiminy will probably open before the Cat. I want to hit Jiminy a few times this year. Are they shooting for Thanksgiving weekend or the one before?

They will definitely open before Catamount. Probably around Thanksgiving or the weekend before. They don't have a "we open and need to stay open" policy so they might open for a weekend and close on a Monday for a few days.

Cool. Since the Cat most likely won't be open the weekend before T-Giving, I may give Jiminy a try.

looks like today was a lost day as the temps are still in the 40s and the cold air is slow to filter in...sigh....more waiting

good news is that after the 15th of this month the ridge comes back out west and a TON of cold air looks to come down from Canada

so we only have to wait out the period of the 6-15th when it is looking very very very mild (temps in the 60s??)

In the meantime, ski resorts should be able to take advantage of good snowmaking weather most nights except Tue Ngt of this week, through Mon Ngt of next week. Make the most of it if you want to get the early start on the season, as you'll need a base that can survive only occasional snowmaking capabilities Nov 7 thru 14.

From Matt Noyes' weather blog today. FYI
